"Hi there. My name is Sungjin Lee and I am studying to become a priest in the Anglican Church of Korea. Firstly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to go on a pilgrimage to Santiago.
"Actually, the Anglican Church is very small in Korea. As a student preparing to be a priest, I feel a great mission along with a lot of anxiety. Through this pilgrimage, I hope to deeply feel God's providence in my life. My pilgrimage will begin on 31 March 2023. I hope you will pray for me and the Anglican Church of Korea, and I pray in advance that the joy of the Resurrection that I will encounter during my pilgrimage will fill the entire global Anglican community. Lisa Work, Diocese of Central Pennsylvania
Walking the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo, beginning June 3
Lisa Work is a candidate for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania. She is completing her second year at Virginia Theological Seminary. Before her current endeavors, Lisa spent over 30 years serving in various roles in both private and public schools, including teacher, administrator, and consultant. Lisa's husband, Mark, and their dog, Emmie, live with her in Alexandria, VA. They are blessed with four adult children and two beautiful grandchildren.
Lisa learned about the Camino in 2011 after completing a multi-day hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with friends. Lisa and her husband spent the last four years searching for memoirs and documentaries about the Camino de Santiago. It is a dream come true for Lisa to have the opportunity to walk the Camino de Santiago as part of her formation to become a priest. She is eager to experience the Camino de Santiago knowing that it is a place of reflection, growth, and community.
