Church of San Félix de Solovio

Beginning in February 2025, we will be transitioning to a new church for ministry. Though we have enjoyed the use of a church in the Alameda Park for several years, San Félix (known affectionately as “San Fiz”) is located in the old city, near the Mercado Abastos, about a five-minute, 450-meter walk from Casa Anglicana.

The church will be open when there is a volunteer chaplain on duty.
For updates on the schedule, please check with the receptionist at Casa Anglicana

A ministry for the Spanish Reformed Episcopal Church

Located in the Praza de San Fiz de Solovio, near the Mercado Abasto, San Fiz is a place where Anglicans gather for worship in Santiago de Compostela. Services are provided on a seasonal schedule by clergy from the nearby parishes of Pontevedra and Vigo.

Address: Praza de San Fiz de Solovio, 1B, 15704 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Spain

San Félix is mentioned in the Codex Calixtinus and has early pilgrim associations. Legend has it that this was the earliest Compostela church, and home of a hermit named Paio, who guided by a star, was able to discover the tomb containing the remains of Saint James.
