Intensive Spanish for Anglicans

Spanish for Anglicans in Santiago de Compostela at the Anglican Pilgrim Centre
Classes at beginner and intermediate levels included visits to the Cathedral, churches, and museums. Learning included singing and worshiping in Spanish using the new translation of El Libro de Oración Común (2022). Participants were invited to join in celebrating Evening Prayer at Iglesia Santa Susana, the 12th century church in the Alameda where Anglicans hold services.
Instructors:
Hugo Olaiz (Intermediates): A native from Argentina, Hugo is the assistant editor for Latino/Hispanic ministries in Forward Movement. He holds a Master’s degree in Spanish and is the translator of the 2022 edition of the El Libro de Oración Común. John-Charles Duffy (Beginners): John-Charles teaches American Religious History at Miami University, and served for 2 ½ years as missionary in the Dominican Republic. He has created various English and Spanish musical resources for the Episcopal Church, including the English translation of Room in the Inn: Ideas for Celebrating Posadas (VenAdelante.org/posadas ).
